Good start, needs extending

The base concept is really nice. Brings physics into the familiar Tetris-y formula in a good way. It's just that with no change to the gameplay over time, it gets repetitive. The easiest way to keep it interesting is to add some randomness to the gameplay and have the game become more difficult with time. Faster ball spawning, more colours, different ball sizes, that sort of thing.

marsyong responds:

thanks.I will rebuild this game.

Fun time-waster

I liked it, seems to hit the spot, as it's not incredibly engaging as you say, but it keeps you from being bored when you're waiting for a few minutes. Could use a little polish and the ship's hitbox is a bit big. Despite that, the ship seems sensibly resilient to weapons given the game isn't supposed to take up all your attention to play decently.

Not at all enjoyable

The physics make absolutely no sense. The ball seems to shoot off at a totally unpredictable angle. Even if the physics were fixed completely it would still be regular, boring old pong.

I'm not much for dance or whatever that music is, but I find it incredibly annoying to have to listen to, and there's no mute feature.

Looks nice, but just boring

It does have nice art. But the game is mindlessly repetitive, made no better by the introduction of the 3 inadequately diverse types of enemy. The player character walks painfully slowly. I don't know whether you wanted to do a sped-up version of Missile Command or whatever it's called, but this could be interesting with some improvements to make the experience more diverse and varied. Ultimately less repetitive.

Thanks, excellent advice, will update shortly.

Quite nice but not special

The graphics were very nice, but the gameplay seems repetitive. You just shoot at the hordes of terrorists that pop up out of nowhere, like a multi-stage whack-a-mole. It gives a detachment from the scenario and the storyline of the game. It could use some interaction with the scenery of some description, varied situations such as sniping or covering allies, and less clone-ish enemies.

Has potential

I rather liked it, actually. But the intro of the catapult slowly trundling on is annoying, and the trampolines aren't very bouncy at all.

sly25fromtyco responds:

ok so you would like me to stop the trunding(might just make it go faster or some thing) and animate the trampolines so they look bouncy(will do)
thank you, will do

Good idea, well executed

Nice idea with the logo finding, it was fun to play too. But you need to bump up the framerate, sometimes when I type fast it misses the keypress.

Great job though.

lartar responds:

THANKS, i will take a look of the framerate thing ok? Thanks for the support...

Short but sweet, couple of small problems.

I liked it. All the platforms feel nice and solid. I also liked the nice drawings in the background - they kept the game's simplistic feel and were a nice blur in the background on the levels.

But please please please make it so that you move along with the moving platforms. Also it was way too easy overall, not just because it was so short, but because of the design of each level. The only one with any challenge, really, was the one with mostly super-thin blocks. That was about the right difficulty I thought.

If you solve all those problems and add some more interesting block types to mix it up a bit more, you've got a great time-wasting platformer.

Generally good - improvements possible

It's a fun game to waste time with and the custom ship drawing is a great idea, but I have a few suggestions.

Firstly, an inertia system? Like if you're in a real spaceship or something, and turn hard, you'd swing round without changing your movement heading. I'd like that for tracking the enemies easier. At the moment if you turn at high speed you still get perfect on-rails grip and make a U-turn.

Also the bullets are a bit slow, imo. It's frustrating to have to devote so much attention to leading the enemy with the bullets.

Lastly I know it's a doodle ship you're meant to be flying but you know mice. How about a line tool, or a togglable snap grid or something.

Relaxing game, very fun effects

As the title says, it's a very relaxing game to play. There's never an element of frustration. The gameplay itself is addicting and entertaining. If it wasn't for the time limit, I could pop those cubes all day. The use of cubes, by the way, was great to show off some sexy 3D effects. My only suggestion would be maybe a sandbox mode. With no time limit, or something.
